Feathers
I heard the crows today and wished I had taken out my. Phone to record them. It was what I needed to hear, and the feathers flapping, I wish. But it didn’t happen. So another day for the obsessive essayist to continue writing. I’m glad I have the resources. Today was an odd day. I finally closed the curtains because it was so cold in my house and that was the only chance I had at having someplace warm to sleep and it is working. I have the whole main floor set up as a studio, kind of portable so when I have people over I can take all the quilts and throws off the furniture and it all looks brand new. And my TV and portable information for my music and reading can be rolled into my bedroom. Not good for sleeping but great otherwise. I think I’ll move my chairs upstairs so guests, basically Ma Luisa and Luisita can have a comfortable place to sleep. Better put some hangers up there and have shampoo, bath wash and hand soap for them too. Actually a great idea for the whole house.
It would be good to add a few things to my once a month thing on the first: pay bills, clean bathrooms, vacuum top to bottom pick up sticks and throw them for Gigi. Maybe I should start that tomorrow or maybe Tuesday.
So far in the morning: music, learning claw hammer for Wildwood Flower, kind of fun, and then finger picking with Samantha Muir, and putting together harmonica/ukulele/lyrics for C melodies for the fall. Make 7 copies.
Publish another poetry book Windswept.
Write a book for CreateSpace, maybe a half a year of essays? Grand parenting titled Feathers.
So if I start from Sun and cold and walking the dog, watching part of the Super Bowl and Seeing Usher perform (it was actually kind of embarrassing, for me to watch him. He took off his shirt. The kids named all the performers and laughed at me when I said I liked them, because they knew I didn’t know any of them. And that went for the team.
Too much fun.
And I want to make huevos rancheros for Ma Luisa and Luisita. We shall see, for sure next Saturday for Joe and Maia. And then tomorrow schedule a cooking class for Maia, Joe, Dave, Maura and Me for Thursday 28th of March and maybe Monday April 1.
April 2 dinner at the school
April 3,4,5 Traverse City, Holland and the Beach. The Market in Grand Rapids, Gas Light Village, Ada.
Huevos Rancheros in the Morning, biscotti and coffee, a big plate of fruit.
