The secrets he kept-2
January 19, 2024 Friday
I found a way to perhaps find information that might not be on the web yet. I have this form, a way to search for information about my Dad in a way that might find his name somewhere. I’ve read some of the beginnings of Uranium production in Missouri and will review that perhaps in the next post. But for now I’m thinking about the Cyclotron in Chicago. There is a map with dumping sights for Mustard Gas and a map with resting places for radioactive materials. It will be interesting to follow that history also. For now I search the past to understand the present. It seems too easy, when living in the present, to think it makes more sense to let go of the past. But then how do we really understand where we are at without knowing the pathway that brought us here.
Reading the first essay in The Best of Brevity, and thinking that that form will be the best for posting, limiting information to kernels of truth. Like this “how to” File a FOIA Request. I will post what I send out.
